Den 4 Sings!

We had song/skit responsibilities at the November pack meeting and opted to perform "America" which the boys had learned for a recent achievement.

Bleep Bleep Bloop

I built this light-sensitive synthesizer thingie from a kit from Bleep Labs. With my previous electronics experience limited to replacing the pickups in a bass guitar, this project was just barely within my meager abilities. It was fun and it makes some weird sounds. If you can't see it in the picture, my camo paint job must be working.

Yes, I said "triathlon"...

Cheryl participated in one on Sunday. 500 meter swim, 20K bike, 5K run. What did you do on Sunday?

Running the Bases

On Fathers Day, we found ourselves in AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants for a game versus the mighty Oakland Athletics. Because of the occasion, fathers were invited to run the bases with their kids after the game. So that's what we did.

We went west, young man

Earlier this month, we spent the better part of a week in San Francisco, taking in the usual sights, a couple of baseball games and a cool science museum called the Exploritorium. We put some photos up on Flickr - click below to check them out.

Hail to the Chiefs

Soccer season came and went in the blink of an eye. I didn't even think to take a camera until all of a sudden it was the last game.

Monkey Boy

For the Pinewood video, I wanted to morph through the steps of building a car. Unfortunately, my old morphing software (Morpheus) doesn't like either of the two operating systems I currently have available. So I looked at upgrading or getting an alternative and ended up buying something called Fantamorph for about $30. So far, me likey. I was messing around with it tonight...

Incidentally, this is a picture of the real Big Monkey, unlike our profile picture which is something I pulled off the web long ago in a pinch.
